Randy Orton congratulates Rey Mysterio following his United States Championship win on WWE RAW

AJ Styles was set to defend the WWE United States Championship against Humberto Carrillo on the latest episode of WWE RAW. However, the match never took place as Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson decimated Carrillo before he could step into the ring.

The scenario would leave The Phenomenal One without a challenger and Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre stepped up to the United States Champion. Ultimately, Mysterio went on to win a fatal four-way match and faced AJ Styles for the title.

The two battled back-and-forth and the interference from The Viper played a pivotal role in turning the match in the favor of Rey Mysterio. The Biggest Little Man then pinned AJ Styles and won the WWE United States Championship for the second time in his career.

Randy Orton comments

Following tonight's RAW, Randy Orton took to Twitter to congratulate the brand new United States Champion and also reminded him of the role he played in Mysterio winning the gold.

@reymysterio congrats on the #USTitle win. Also, you’re welcome. You owe me one briz.

While Orton and Mysterio are in a celebratory mood, AJ Styles is not a fan of how things went down in his match. As he aims at avenging his loss, will he target Randy Orton or go after the new United States Champion first? We hope to get the answers very soon.
