During his feud with Jeff Hardy, Orton tortured the charismatic enigma by pulling his ears vigorously. However, this was further escalated during their hell in a cell match when Orton inserted a screwdriver into Hardy's earlobe and twisted it mercilessly. The whole crowd booed Orton into oblivion.
Orton also repeatedly flogged Hardy with belt and chair, making the match even more brutal than what it already was. Orton was at his psychotic best at Hell in a Cell 2018.
