NXT UK is certainly WWE's newest and smallest brand, and globally it may have not taken off the way WWE would have hoped, but like NXT, there is a big emphasis on tag teams, and there are none better than the duo of Zack Gibson and James Drake. Whether it be on the indie scene with Progress or NXT UK, these two are similar to FTR with their fantastic heel techniques, while allowing the high-flying babyface tag team across from them to look amazing.
The spotlight on these two certainly hasn't been as bright since the pandemic hit, as they are outside of North America, but when it comes to big time tag team matches, very few in the world deliver in the way that the Grizzled Young Veterans do.
As a heel tag team, these two play their role to perfection, with technical prowess and intensity like very few others, and while they've been hidden away in the UK for a long time, that will hopefully change very, very soon.
Some teams on this list are talented individual performers, and while both of these men are capable of that, it's this tag team that is their shot at glory, and one day, it wouldn't shock anyone who's seen an extensive amount of their work to see them regarded as one of, if not the best tag team in the world.
"Soon to be the #1 tag team in the world" isn't just a phrase for Gibson and Drake, as they have the unique look and style and the talent to be the best, and if WWE give them a chance on the biggest stage, they'll no doubt knock it out of the park. With NXT UK returning soon, it's a chance for the world to be reintroduced to this talented duo, who one day will no doubt be skyrocketing up this list.
