Bray Wyatt made his WrestleMania in-ring debut at WWE WrestleMania XXX against John Cena

Bray Wyatt made his WWE WrestleMania debut in 2014 at WrestleMania XXX. Wyatt's opponent for the event was none other than former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and future Hall of Famer John Cena.

The storyline heading into WrestleMania focused on John Cena's legacy in WWE. Bray Wyatt, flanked by Wyatt Family disciples Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, continuously attempted to convert the leader of the Cenation to the dark side and embrace Wyatt's evil doctrine.

The match itself at WrestleMania was fairly good. It featured great psychology and fundamental professional wrestling storytelling. At several points during the match, Bray Wyatt was visibly in the head of John Cena due to The Eater of Worlds' bizarre behavior and manerism. At one point, Bray Wyatt handed John Cena a steel chair, encouraging the former WWE Champion to utilize the weapon and destroy the legacy he had built for himself in WWE. However, John Cena refused and eventually defeated the evil Wyatt with an Attitude Adjustment to gain the victory.

Many within the WWE Universe and inside the SuperDome that evening questioned the decision to have Cena defeat Wyatt. The crowd was very much behind the new WWE Superstar, serandading him with renditions of "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands." It would have been the perfect opportunity to elevate Bray Wyatt and cement him as a main eventer. Instead, Bray Wyatt became one of several names throughout WWE history to fall to John Cena at WrestleMania.
