The Elimination Chamber is the WWE's next stop on the Road to WrestleMania, and will feature the WWE Championship being defended inside the steel structure. But today, we are going to take a closer look at the other Chamber match on the card. It was rumoured for months and months, but the WWE finally confirmed that WWE Women's Championships were on the way, and inside the brutal structure, we will see the crowning of the first Champions.

From makeshift teams to best friends to dominant monsters, this match has a variety of performers, but as always in the WWE, there are superstars in this bout that have a great chance of leaving draped in gold, and others who are just there to make up the numbers. Every single performer taking part in this historic bout deserves to be there due to their talent, hard work and dedication, but that doesn't mean they have a genuine chance of winning, because in story, the WWE is only looking to push a certain amount of women in this situation.

So that's what we will be looking at today, the historic Elimination Chamber PPV, and ranking the chances of each team in this bout to walk home the first ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

As always, let us know all your thoughts and comments on this historic match in the comment section below.

#6 Naomi and Carmella

Carmella and Naomi

Given all the genuine tag teams that WWE have put in this bout, there was bound to be a random pairing put in to make up the numbers, and on Smackdown Live, it was revealed that Naomi and Carmella will be the sixth and final team to step inside the Chamber.

A lot of people expected a legendary team like The Bellas or Trish & Lita to take this spot, and they very well may get a bout at WrestleMania, but right now, it's great to highlight two of Smackdown's best women.

We've seen makeshift tag teams like The B-Team and Heath Slater & Rhyno have success over the past few years, but given the historical nature of this bout, it's hard to see them coming out on top. With the Chamber, it's easy to make underdogs into stars given the type of match it is, so these two could survive deep into the bout, but in terms of coming out on top, they've got less chance than the other 5 teams.

#5 Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

Paige, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville came to the main roster alongside Paige as 'Absolution', but that didn't get the success it deserved due to Paige's career-ending injury, and since that point, the duo have struggled to pick up any traction. If internet rumours are anything to go by, the WWE are quite high on Mandy Rose, and even broke the two up for a short stint, but given the announcement of these titles, they're back together again.

Both women are still new to wrestling and have a lot to learn, but there is incredible amounts of potential between the two (Deville especially in an in-ring capacity), but unfortunately, they're just not ready for this opportunity.

Both need to be given more time and significant storylines on Smackdown Live to continue to grow and evolve, and by 2020, these two should be a significant contender for these titles, but just not now.

#4 The IIconics

The IIconics

The Australian duo of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have been improving quite a lot ever since their early days in NXT, and they've slowly developed into one of the best heel pairings that Smackdown Live has to offer.

In terms of in-ring work, they fall short of the elite performers in WWE's women's division (Lynch, Charlotte, Asuka), but they can more than hold their own in the ring, and with the genuine heat they can draw, they're a star pairing.

They haven't quite yet hit their best, and the other 3 teams ahead of them on this list have, but expect these two to be competing for the titles shortly after the Elimination Chamber. As an Australian, I'd love to see Kay and Royce continue their rise through the WWE ranks, and as one of the only permanent tag teams in this bout, it makes sense, but unfortunately, we just can't see it happening... yet.

#3 Riott Squad

The Riott Squad

The WWE is currently flooded with under-utilised talent, and within the women's division, the one that stands out the most is the Riott Squad, made up of Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan and the leader, Ruby Riott.

The trio were called up a year ago, and they've done some great work as a team, and given their close friendship away from the wrestling business, their chemistry on screen really translates into a solid unit, and the WWE need to begin pushing them now.

Inside the chamber, it will be Morgan and Logan representing the trio, and while they are fantastic together, it's hard to see the WWE putting the titles on them straight away. If a great rivalry were to be built up between them and the winner, we could see them holding the Championships before SummerSlam, but given the name recognition of the other two teams in this match, it's unlikely they'll come out on top here.

#2 Nia Jax and Tamina

Nia Jax and Tamina

Ever since she punched Becky Lynch in the face heading into Survivor Series, Nia Jax has seemingly been in the news every week for something bad, but she's creating good heat for herself, and no doubt it's working. Alongside Tamina, the two have now been running roughshod over the women on RAW, and given their dominant physical stature, it's hard to imagine the WWE not wanting to push them immediately.

It's often said in wrestling that the money is in the chase, and if WWE do want a babyface team like Sasha and Bayley chasing, then this is the best move for the company to make.

However, given that this is the first Tag Team Championship for the women in WWE, they will likely want an underdog, baby face win straight off the bat, and therefore, we believe that Tamina and Nia Jax will just come up short inside the dangerous Chamber.

#1 Sasha Banks and Bayley

Sasha Banks and Bayley
Sasha Banks and Bayley

Sasha Banks and Bayley have been gunning for the Women's Tag Team Titles ever since the rumours about their existence began, and given their combined talent, name power and friendship, they have to be considered the favourites to win inside the Chamber. They first came to prominence as rivals in NXT, and one day, they are going to have an epic rivalry on the main roster, but for now, building that rivalry back up would be best done by having them win the Tag Team Championships first.

The WWE have done a good job at building up some credible and believable tag teams for this bout, given that there isn't that many official tag teams in the women's division, but Bayley and Sasha just stand out above the rest. The Riott Squad, The IIconics and some other teams are going to be together for the long haul, but to give these titles the importance that they deserve right off the bat, there's no other option here.
