Johnny Gargano can rightly be called WWE’s best bout machine of 2019. While many of his colleagues from NXT have been called up to the main roster, Gargano’s place at the upper echelons of NXT seems far from over. To be honest, many fans won’t mind if Gargano remains in NXT forever. On NXT, he has been able to stand out from the rest whereas a move to the main roster could allow him to get lost in the noise.

Gargano has been able to deliver standout performances consistently. He never fails to live up to his moniker – Johnny Wrestling. He has been stellar in every NXT Takeover match that he has participated in this year. You might as well call him Johnny Takeover.
Gargano started his year by putting on an instant classic against Ricochet. He followed that up with another highly-rated match against Adam Cole at NXT Takeover XXV. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better for Johnny Wrestling, he delivered a critically acclaimed match against Adam Cole at NXT Takeover: New York.
Match wise, he has been WWE’s most dependable asset and has more than justified his place at number six on this list.

A wrestling aficionado since childhood, Sunil used to imitate his favorite wrestlers as a young kid, and started writing professionally about the sport via Sportskeeda’s revenue-sharing opportunity.
Sunil admires former world champions AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega for their ability to consistently deliver great matches as well as entertain crowds with their mic skills.
If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
Always focused on making his work accurate and reliable, Sunil thoroughly checks his facts before writing his articles. When not writing for pro wrestling, he spends his time watching cricket.
