#3 Best Hell in a Cell superstars – Mick Foley

Mick Foley is possibly one of the only superstars on this list that every casual fan is aware of thanks to his Hell in a Cell matches. Foley famously didn’t care about his physical health, taking things to extreme lengths every time he entered the structure.

Shockingly, for a person who is famous for Hell in a Cell, Mick Foley has battled in only four Hell in a Cell matches. Of those four, two were during episodes of RAW and didn’t really deliver.

However, the other two Hell in a Cell Matches he was a part of made up for it all.

The first one was when he faced The Undertaker at the King of the Ring 1998 pay-per-view. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong in this match. The Undertaker pushed Foley off the top of the cell in a planned move, but when Foley hit the announce table, he suffered multiple injuries. He refused to be carried off and made his way back to the top of the cell, only for the roof of the cell to give way and for him to fall to the unforgiving ring.

Foley was hurt, suffering multiple injuries, and yet, when he sat up and smiled with a tooth through his nose, no one was unsure anymore. They were sure he was absolutely crazy. The match is possibly the most famous WWE match of all time.

Oddly enough, that’s not the best Hell in a Cell match that Foley was a part of. Years later, he faced Triple H as Cactus Jack in a retirement match inside the Hell in a Cell structure. The two of them put on a show that is yet to be bettered in all of Hell in a Cell history. They fought inside and outside the cell, going to the roof. With a flaming barbed wire bat, Foley brought out all the stops.

Once again he went crashing through the roof of the cell and to the ring, thankfully in a planned move this time.

While he has not been in the most matches and never won inside the structure, Foley’s Hell in a Cell appearances remains the most memorable of possibly everyone on this list.
