She was targeting Rhea Ripley and intended to use her figure eight submission to finish the match. However, Shirai spotted her opportunity and delivered a beautiful moonsault from the top of the ring onto Ripley and pinned her to win the NXT Women’s Championship for the first time.
As confirmed by WWE, Charlotte Flair is now set to make an appearance on RAW. She will be fighting against Asuka with the RAW Women’s Championship on the line. As of now, Asuka is set to defend her title against Nia Jax at the upcoming WWE PPV, Backlash. However, if the title changes hands, we could see an entirely different match card unfold at the PPV.

Asuka won the RAW Women’s Championship after winning the Women’s Money in the Bank 2020 match. On the episode of RAW that followed the PPV, Becky Lynch announced that she was pregnant, and she relinquished her title. As a result, Asuka was crowned as the next RAW Women’s Champion, but that didn’t go down very well with Nia Jax, and the two Superstars have been feuding ever since.
But before Asuka gears up for a match against Jax, she has to face Charlotte Flair on RAW. Both these Superstars share a long history that has seen them show equal dominance in their encounters. It will be interesting to see how their match will proceed on tonight’s episode of RAW, given the huge implications that it is bound to have.
