Road to WrestleMania XXX: Ideal path for The Undertaker

Undertaker

Undertaker

No matter how many part timers that the WWE sign to make WrestleMania a grand event, none will match up to the star power and excitement that the Undertaker brings into the ring.

The Streak which spans over two decades has made its own place in the marquee event and still remains as one of the most anticipated parts of WrestleMania. And this year will be no different as the company will be trying to make maximum utilization of the brand.

Stakes will also be higher since it’s a milestone event for the company. A battered aging Undertaker has been polished and bandaged for the sole purpose. Since he’s been saved for most of the year, his appearance promises to make a big pop no matter who is up against But the “who” factor will be a significant one as it could make or break the streak’s reputation in a jiffy.

There are various paths that the creative could take in order to reach the destination but let’s take a look at the best one.

If you can’t give me the title, give me Undertaker

An Offer best for business

An Offer best for business

From what went down at last week’s Raw it’s pretty clear that Brock Lesnar might not be in the title scene once WrestleMania approaches.

And Paul Heyman being the best negotiator he is sure to move another proposition forward for his client which will be “If you can’t give my client a title shot, then give him the next best thing at WrestleMania, The Undertaker”.

It’s an offer that Triple H can’t refuse as he would know it’s the best thing for business. However, Triple H will move his own condition forward in which he will make it clear that Heyman would have to pursue Undertaker for the match.

A Paul Heyman guy will end the streak

Once he gets a green flag from the Authority, Heyman will start doing what he does best: Work magic with the microphone.

He is going to dig into all the history that he had with Undertaker and claim that this will be the end of their rivalry as Lesnar would end the streak and make Taker just a deadweight.

The fact that a Paul Heyman guy almost ended the streak last year will also be tossed into add extra venom as Heyman would stop at nothing to get Taker out of his den.

He would also make an announcement that Brock Lesnar would tear apart the whole locker-room until Taker shows up. This would take the proceedings to a different level as Taker would be projected as the savior of the whole locker room.

The Savior Cometh (Elimination Chamber)

The Saviour

The Saviour

Seeing the chaos that Lesnar has been causing in his name, Taker has to come out from the dark and face the Beast.

There won’t be a better place to do this than the Elimination chamber as it gives the creative enough time to have a buildup for the eventual match as well. Taker could make his appearance using his signature style during one of Lesnar’s destructions.

And this is what Heyman wanted all along and at least at one point, the fans could agree with the evil manager as it’s the same that they also wanted.

The Taker Games

God of mind games

God of mind games

If Paul Heyman is the king of mind games, then Undertaker is the God of it. The supernatural and creepy appearances that Taker pulls off have been the text book for new guys like Bray Wyatt.

And after Taker makes his decision official, Lesnar will be the one running as the Phenom will play with his prey.

But don’t expect this to run the whole course till WrestleMania as Lesnar is going to show how dominant he is when he gets his hands on Taker.

The WWE will project Taker as an old man being battered in the hands of a beast just before WrestleMania just to make things interesting by making Taker the underdog. This gives us a prospect of the Streak ending thus setting an exciting bout.

The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania XXX)

The Showdown

The Showdown

And the moment that everyone was waiting for, The Beast vs. The Phenom. Taker’s Streak always sets the stakes high and this year won’t be any different.

The previous segment which projected him as a battered old man will be ringing in the mind of WWE fans. the destructive nature of Lesnar can be shown throughout the match with Taker being protected from being too physically involved.

After so many kick outs and taking a lot of beating, Taker can show signs of life nearing the end of the match and overcome Heyman’s interference. Taker can then give Lesnar the last ride and make his streak alive.

With Taker being physically saved and Lesnar’s contract ending, the company could then give the luxury of ending the streak to some hot prospects like Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt or Daniel Bryan. Lesnar could go back to whatever he was doing and return at next WrestleMania and look for his next opponent.
