WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has his hands full with a rogue Bron Breakker, who has made it his mission to wreak havoc on the red brand. Could the former NXT Champion have a similar plan in the works on SmackDown before Clash at the Castle?
The go-home episode of RAW before Clash at the Castle 2024 saw Breakker viciously attack Ricochet to write the latter off the television. The high-flying superstar interfered and stopped Breakker from attacking Ilja Dragunov following their match on the red brand.
However, Ricochet would soon get punished at the hands of Breakker, who was vicious in his backstage assault. He sent Ricochet crashing into the production trucks multiple times before hitting him with a Powerslam on top of a car that broke its windshield. RAW ring announcer and Ricochet's real-life fiancee, Samantha Irvin, rushed backstage as he was loaded into an ambulance before being driven off the arena.
Breakker has argued that all must pay because he was overlooked during the 2024 King of the Ring tournament. The Big Bad Booty Nephew could attempt to hijack WWE SmackDown tonight and attack someone in a bid to make a massive statement ahead of Clash at the Castle.
This will lead to him facing immediate consequences, which could be a match against Ilja Dragunov at the PLE on Saturday night. This would allow the creative team to add a massive grudge match to the Clash at the Castle card while producing a huge surprise on the blue brand's go-home episode before the spectacle in Glasgow, Scotland.
What will happen on WWE SmackDown before Clash at the Castle 2024?
WWE has announced three big matches for SmackDown this week. Kevin Owens will look to cause damage to The Bloodline when he faces Solo Sikoa in a singles match tonight. This comes after the top babyface declared war against the Sikoa-led faction. However, The Bloodline members, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, could be a massive factor, and it will be interesting to see who would be in KO's corner to help him against the numbers game.
Additionally, Chelsea Green will take on former SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi in a singles bout. Another women's match confirmed for the show will see the newly-crowned Queen of the Ring, Nia Jax, lock horns with Mia Yim after their backstage exchange last week.
Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles will cross paths for the final time before they compete in an "I Quit" match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Clash at the Castle 2024.
Lastly, SmackDown will feature an exciting edition of The Grayson Waller Effect with DIY, consisting of Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, as the special guests on the talk show. This segment could potentially lead to a massive WWE Tag Team Championship match being added to Clash at the Castle 2024 based on recent events.
