ROH / NJPW News: Young Bucks auctioning off their "Too Sweet" gear after WWE's cease and desist order

The Young Bucks and WWE continue to butt heads...

What's the story?

The Young Bucks recently released a statement which said that they were going to auction a pair of "Too Sweet" ring worn tights to benefit Children's Healthcare of America.

In case you didn't know...

Sportskeeda reported on a story yesterday which suggested that WWE had hit The Young Bucks with a cease and desist order to prevent them from being able to use the "Too Sweet" hand gesture as well as the phrase on their merchandise.

The order came shortly after the Bullet Club did a DX-style "takeover" outside of Monday Night Raw last week. It is unknown of the order was a result of the stunt the Bullet Club pulled off.

The heart of the matter

The listing is currently on eBay, and you can find the auction at this link. At the time of this writing, the bid was up to $2,700.00. The Bucks stated that 100% of the sale of those tights will go to benefit the children's hospital.

The auction ends at 3:00 PM Pacific time on October 1st. According to the description, this is the only set made of these tights. Matt Jackson provided the following quote for more information regarding the auction:

“Seeing how we’ll obviously no longer be able to use these tights, we have decided to turn a negative into a positive and give back. We have chosen Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to receive 100% of the funds raised in our eBay auction. We decided to give back to this particular hospital, because we were so touched by the children and hospital staff we spent some time with during our recent visit.”

What's next?

Even though The Young Bucks lost their ROH World Tag Team Championships at Death Before Dishonor last week, they still hold the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships with Hangman Page. The next ROH pay per view is Global Wars in mid-October, but it is not yet known who the "Hung Bucks" will face.

Author's take

The Young Bucks have taken a bad situation and turned it into a good one. Let's hope they don't get in trouble for auctioning off these tights as the proceeds are going to a good cause.

I'm worried the latest cease and desist just killed any chance of The Young Bucks coming to WWE. Hopefully, time heals these wounds.
