Roman Reigns returned to WWE on the September 13, 2024, edition of SmackDown. The episode marked the return of the blue show to the USA Network after five years, and Triple H did everything in his power to make it outstanding, including booking a tag team match pitting The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa against Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes for Bad Blood.
This might not be all that The Game is brewing backstage. On WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes were about to come to blows at one point. While they eventually agreed to team up against The Bloodline, their feud might not be over. In Paul Heyman's absence, general manager Nick Aldis could become The Original Tribal Chief's new Wiseman, going by their latest interaction.
Aldis and Reigns could combine forces in the coming months, and the former could even book The Head of the Table in a third title match against Cody Rhodes. At Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, the 37-year-old could help Reigns dethrone The American Nightmare as the Undisputed WWE Champion.

Nick Aldis shares a storied history with Cody Rhodes. They feuded over the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in 2018. Hence, it won't be a surprise if SmackDown's general manager helps Roman Reigns become champion again. Once the deed is done, The American Nightmare may turn heel, allowing Reigns to become a full-fledged babyface.
The OTC may finally understand how much The Usos did for him during his championship run and reunite with them for another run.
Roman Reigns saved Cody Rhodes from The Bloodline
On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, The American Nightmare competed in a Steel Cage Match against Solo Sikoa. Although The Street Champion of the Island tried his best, Cody Rhodes ultimately retained the Undisputed WWE Championship.
After the match, The Bloodline members entered the cage and began assaulting the champion. This is when Reigns chose to enter the unforgiving structure. He took down Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Solo Sikoa before Jacob Fatu pulled The Bloodline leader out of the ring.
The Tongans used the opening to ambush Reigns, but this time Cody Rhodes made the save. The Head of the Table and Rhodes might not be friends, but they would have to work together to take down the Sikoa-led group.
