Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE television since Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker attacked him on the RAW after WrestleMania 41. The OTC reportedly took some time off and was expected to return near Money in the Bank 2025. Interestingly, the Original Tribal Chief might come back and replace an injured star in the men’s MITB match.
The go-home edition of Friday Night SmackDown saw a singles bout featuring MITB participant LA Knight locking horns with Aleister Black in an instant classic. However, it ended in a DQ as Seth Rollins took Knight out with his signature Stomp. While Aleister tried to save Megastar, he was also taken out by Bron Breakker from behind.
Rollins and Co. implemented their perfect game plan and put a beating on LA Knight, leaving him motionless in the ring. In a shocking turn of events, WWE might announce that the Megastar’s health was compromised on the blue brand, which leaves him unfit to contest at the men’s ladder bout at the Money in the Bank 2025, leaving one surprise spot open.
In the ending moments of the match, Roman Reigns could make his much-anticipated return as the last-minute replacement for LA Knight and could steal the victory from Seth Rollins’ hands, marking a perfect jaw-dropping ending to the men’s MITB ladder match.
That said, the angle proposed above is speculative, and nothing has been confirmed.
Seth Rollins took shots at Roman Reigns ahead of WWE Money in the Bank 2025
The go-home show of Monday Night RAW before MITB went off-air with Seth Rollins and his heel crew standing over Sami Zayn, CM Punk, and Jey Uso.
After the show went off-air, the Visionary continued with his promo, but when the crowd erupted with the OTC chants, Rollins took shots at Reigns, saying that his former Shield brother was out of sight and gone.
"The champ is done for, your martyr is done for, Sami Zayn in the dirt, OTC nowhere in sight. You know whose time it is, right now? That chant is a joke, like all of you. He's gone. We put him in the dirt, just like these three. It is my time. It is our time. Because I am a visionary, I am a revolutionary, I am - You're too easy, you morons,” said Rollins.
It will be interesting to see if Roman Reigns makes his impact felt at Money in the Bank 2025.
