Is Roman Reigns winning the title Best for Business? What is the ideal scenario for WWE at WWE Fastlane 2016? How should the match pan out? Let us take a look at it
The authority has been targeting Roman Reigns for a while and after his attack on Triple H at TLC, Roman was put against all odds and he has been defying them as he won the WWE World Heavyweight championship from Sheamus. When he won the title, he was greeted with massive pops at Philadelphia, the same place that booed him to death when he won the 2015 Royal Rumble.
But when he was made to defend his title at the Royal Rumble against 29 other men, the reactions came down drastically and the WWE universe was not willing to get over with his gimmick. Eventually, Roman dropped the championship to Triple H at Royal Rumble and has been named in the number 1 contender’s match at WWE Fastlane.
The possible scenario for Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar in a triple threat match at Fastlane
Since Roman is receiving mixed reactions from the fans, it won’t be surprising is he loses at Fastlane. Roman losing at Fastlane is best for business. WWE should make sure that the main event at Fastlane 2016 is a huge success and sets up a perfect platform for the Road to Wrestlemania.
It is almost certain that Brock Lesnar will be having a feud with Bray Wyatt and in the past few weeks, Brock has faced the wrath of the Wyatts. The Wyatts interrupting the match for attacking Brock Lesnar and taking him out will be the perfect beginning to their feud in the road to Wrestlemania.
It has been revealed that Brock won’t appear in Television for the next 3 weeks after WWE Fastlane and this is an ideal scenario for WWE to have Brock away from action with a storyline injury. In the meantime, Bray Wyatt will cut promos on Brock Lesnar with Brock Lesnar’s advocate giving some witty promos on his own. This could be a potential show stealer at Wrestlemania.
On the other hand, Dean Ambrose manages to beat Roman Reigns courtesy a distraction from Triple H. And when Triple H comes down the ring to have a stare down against the number 1 contender Dean Ambrose, Roman attacking Ambrose from behind will give WWE a new dimension, which the fans wanted in the past one year, a heel turn for Roman Reigns.
With Roman Reigns having a heel gimmick, the reaction of fans might see a u-turn again and he can activate his rematch clause for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania as he is yet to get a rematch for the title he lost at Royal Rumble.
This sets up a triple threat match between Triple-H, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at Wrestlemania with the Lunatic Fringe going into the match as a babyface while the other two as a heel.
In this case, the fans get what they want and this could be the perfect solution for WWE to make Roman Reigns get over the fans and at the same time, have Ambrose as the underdog by beating him up and make him win the title at Wrestlemania 32.
