At the upcoming pay-per-view, Charlotte Flair and Asuka must retain their gold in the match against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Jax and Baszler have already enjoyed a lengthy run as the champions on WWE RAW, and the fans would like to see something fresh. Instead, watching Flair and Asuka work together as a team will make the tag team division more interesting with several feuds on the cards.

Moreover, Asuka is expected to drop her RAW Women’s Championship to Alexa Bliss after Royal Rumble. When that happens, the tag team titles will help the creative keep Asuka and Charlotte Flair away from the singles championship so that other Superstars on the roster get a shot. Jax and Baszler will always have more opportunities to compete for the women’s tag team championships in the coming months.
