Former WWE Universal Champion's absence from the ring expected to continue - Reports

After not appearing live in front of the WWE Universe this week, it looks like Seth Rollins will once again not be present in the arena for the foreseeable future.

This past Monday on RAW, The Visionary only appeared on the show via an interview with Corey Graves. Seth's reason for missing RAW was due to the fact that he was on set in Atlanta, Georgia, filming the new Captain America movie.

According to a recent report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the former Universal Champion will not be on the red brand next week in person either, as his commitments to Marvel continue.

"Rollins was off Raw this week and next week, so they did a pretape segment, because he was filming the movie “Captain America: New World Order.” The movie is currently filming in Atlanta for a release next May." [H/T Ringside News]

As a tenured member of the WWE roster, like many stars before him, the opportunity to seek a new career in Hollywood seems to be finally knocking on Seth Rollins' door.

Despite the fact that Roman Reigns has been the face of the company for almost a decade, his former Shield teammate is also held in very high regard by company officials.

A report was made earlier this week by Boozer666 via Wrestling News.Co, which states that Seth Rollins is internally listed as Triple H's "number one guy."

Seth Rollins will look to add more gold to his WWE trophy cabinet on Saturday, May 27th, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Rollins will go one-on-one with AJ Styles for the new World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions.
