Potential reason for Brock Lesnar's WWE Draft omission

Brock Lesnar has been awol for almost a year
Brock Lesnar is a former WWE Champion

WWE Draft 2024 will kick off tonight on SmackDown and will see several stars switching brands. It has already been confirmed that all champions are protected from the shuffle, meaning they will not be drafted.

Some major names have not been included in the Draft pool, including Nikki Cross, Tamina, Omos, MVP, and many injured stars.

One major name who has also been omitted from the Draft pool is Brock Lesnar. While he hasn't been seen on WWE TV since SummerSlam 2023, Triple H recently said The Beast Incarnate was still with the company. But it seems that there are no plans in place for his return as of now.

According to Fightful Select, Lesnar is a free agent, which could be one of the reasons why he isn't set to be drafted this year. The former world champion often makes appearances on RAW or SmackDown based on the creative team's plans.

Lesnar's name has been avoided by WWE over the past few months, but he could be set to make his return in the future since Triple H noted that he was still a part of WWE.

WWE doesn't seem to have a strict set of rules for the Draft

It seems that several injured superstars have been added to the Draft pool while others have been omitted.

Seth Rollins recently had knee surgery but he is eligible to be drafted this year. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman, who has been sidelined for almost a year, can also switch brands as part of the 2024 Draft. The two are on the injured list alongside top names like Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, Sonya Deville, and Erik, all of whom are ineligible to be drafted.

Rollins is expected to be out for several months and could return around the same time as Charlotte Flair. Hence, it's unclear why he has been added to the Draft pool or why some others have been excluded from the process.
