#4. Vince McMahon's backstage reaction to the Roman Reigns situation

Roman Reigns has been in the news despite being away from WWE TV since he pulled out of WrestleMania 36. WWE recently edited Roman Reigns out of Seth Rollins' MITB cash-in clip that was aired on RAW. However, Roman Reigns was shown beating Triple H during a video package that was aired on SmackDown.

While Roman Reigns' name is not to be mentioned on TV, he has not been erased from WWE programming and the fans are confused, and so is Vince McMahon, apparently.

Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Vince McMahon is confused about how to deal with the Roman Reigns situation and when it comes to dealing with Roman Reigns, the WWE boss has been changing his mind based on 'which way the wind is blowing.'

Meltzer noted the following in the Newsletter:

We’re told the reaction by Vince McMahon regarding Reigns and how to handle the situation “changes daily based on which way the wind is blowing,” which is why one day they show him beating HHH on Smackdown, then they edited him off Raw, then they do a Make-a-Wish thing and have no clips of him, then they do an investment conference and Vince McMahon never says his name, and then they have a one hour special on him on FS 1.
