WWE Bad Blood 2024 will see the revival of a classic pay-per-view/premium live event in its modern form. The event is most famously remembered for the first-ever Hell in a Cell match, so it only makes sense that the revived edition will also be headlined by one. However, WWE's plans for it might surprise you, as a new report has emerged.
We got a peak of Bad Blood 2024 in an epic video featuring Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and rising Rap star Metro Boomin. Cody is from Atlanta, while Metro Boomin has a long-time association with the city, as that's where his career got off the ground. What might surprise you is that Cody is reportedly not going to headline the show.
According to a report from WRKD Wrestling, WWE is planning CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre 2 in a Hell in a Cell match for the main event of Bad Blood 2024:
If this is true, the conversations behind the scenes must have been strange. CM Punk openly stated in a previous interview that he had no desire to compete in a Hell in a Cell match or a ladder match.
However, many pointed out that Punk vs. McIntyre is an intense rivalry intense enough to justify a Hell in a Cell match. WWE has removed the Hell in a Cell PLE altogether and is reverting to the traditional method of sparsely using the stipulation when it matters—a decision that many fans seem to agree with.
If true, this feud is only going to get more intense. On RAW this week, McIntyre reopened the wound by taking a major dig at CM Punk's dog, Larry, and wife, AJ Lee.
