Fantasy Booking Sasha Banks vs. Bayley: A dream match for the ages
If you are a Sasha Banks fan, then the past few months must have been really frustrating. The internet was full of rumors, and every Sasha Banks post was overanalyzed as people tried to figure out her next move. However, Sasha Banks put an end to all those rumors by appearing on the latest episode of RAW.
The return of Sasha Banks is a boon to the RAW women’s division as it has been struggling since Ronda Rousey left. Upon her return, Banks cemented her position as the top heel in the division by brutally attacking both Natalya and Becky Lynch. Sasha also put herself in the title picture for the RAW Women’s title. It’s only a matter of time before Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks fight for the championship.
In my opinion, Sasha Banks should win the championship to bring some new blood to the title picture. If Becky were to win the match, then it would leave her without any viable challengers. The likeliest venue for such a match would be at Clash of Champions in September.
Another match that might happen at Clash of Champions is Charlotte Flair vs. Bayley for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
Charlotte Flair has been impressive recently, picking up victories over Trish Stratus and Ember Moon. With a victory over the former number one contender, you can be sure that Charlotte has her eyes set on the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
In my opinion, Bayley should win this match. A victory over Charlotte Flair would cement her place as one of the greatest Smackdown Women's Champions.
If both Bayley and Becky emerge victorious, WWE can start planting the seeds for a storyline between the two. While Bayley is celebrating her victory, Sasha could come out and pose with her newly won championship, stealing her moment.
On the next episode of RAW, Sasha could cut a promo accusing Bayley of being a corporate stooge. She would th go on to paint Bayley as a traitor who stabbed her in the back. Bayley would be presented as the sympathetic babyface who refused to give up even when the conditions were not ideal.
To make this feud more interesting, WWE can use the brand split to keep the women separate. The feud should culminate in a match at WrestleMania that would have the entire crowd on the edge of their seats.
