WWE News: Seth Rollins narrates an amazing story of Hooters helping him

What's the story?

The WWE has put forth a video on its official YouTube channel, featuring Seth Rollins who visits a familiar hangout in his hometown.

While at said hangout, a Hooters restaurant, Rollins explained how the place helped him during his younger years.

In case you didn’t know…

Rollins gained considerable notoriety in the early stages of his professional wrestling career as Tyler Black on the independent professional wrestling circuit.

He was then signed to WWE’s NXT brand where he went on to win the NXT Championship, before debuting on the main roster as part of The Shield alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.

In the ensuing years, the Architect went on to win several titles in the WWE, including the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The heart of the matter

Rollins hails from Davenport, Iowa, and spent a large part of his teenage years, watching professional wrestling matches and aspiring to become a pro-wrestling performer.

In the aforementioned YouTube video put forth by the WWE, Rollins visits a Hooters restaurant which he frequented during his younger years.

Rollins explained that back when he was a teenager, he used to visit the Hooters restaurant once a month every Sunday to watch WWE PPVs—witnessing his heroes such as Shawn Michaels perform in the WWE’s biggest events.

Furthermore, he also added that while watching the events was initially mainly entertainment-driven, he eventually started following the events more keenly, as a form of tape study in order to help him hone his ring-craft—

WWE Intercontinental Champion Rollins defends his title against Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and The Miz in a Ladder Match at the WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble PPV; which takes place at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on April 27th.

Rollins is perhaps one of the most underrated performers in the sport today.

He has overcome considerable adversity over the course of his pro-wrestling career, including career-threatening injuries—regardless, “The Architect” now seems primed to rule the roost at WWE in the years to come.

Besides, it’s awesome to hear about Hooters helping out a young Rollins, so as to improve his pro-wrestling knowledge by watching WWE PPVs every month.
