Seth Rollins to return with an old character after injury saw him hospitalized? Checking the chances

On RAW, Seth Rollins had to be hospitalized after a vicious assault by Big Bronson Reed following his segment with CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. It is unclear what injuries the Visionary has suffered, but he could miss some time because of them.

Should he return, we expect him to go after Bronson Reed, seeking revenge for his assault. However, it would make sense that he could use his old character before becoming The Visionary.

Seth Rollins has to adopt a different personality

Since becoming The Visionary, Seth Rollins has adopted a completely different persona from the one he used to have in WWE.

Especially during his reign as World Champion alongside The Authority, Rollins was ruthless and used to dominate his opponents in the ring and on the mic.

His current persona is funnier, as evident from his outlandish outfit choices, but after what happened with Bronson Reed, we could expect to see him return to his ruthless persona.

He has been a babyface for way too long

It has been a while since we last saw Seth Rollins as a heel in WWE. During those days, he had done a great job, emerging as the face of the company.

Even though Reed is also a heel, it would make sense for The Visionary to have a heel turn and go after Reed to take revenge, as it would help him build some momentum for his upcoming rivalry with CM Punk, considered one of the top faces in WWE.

Bringing back the old character could be the ideal way to prepare for his feud with CM Punk

WWE reportedly plans to have CM Punk and Seth Rollins collide at WrestleMania 41 in April 2025. This blockbuster match has been in the works since Punk's return in November 2023.

The feud between the two megastars intensified at SummerSlam when Punk hit Rollins with the GTS. Thus, Seth will be out for revenge once he is done with Big Bronson Reed.

So, bringing his old character back would not only lead to a heel turn, but it would also prepare him for his rivalry with CM Punk, a top babyface in WWE.
