Will the Shield and The Wyatt Family ever cross paths?

The Wyatt family

The Shield, The Wyatt Family and The Three Man Band are the most prominent teams on WWE television these days. While 3MB are jobbers and their predictability lies in losing, that leaves the first two apart.

The Shield and the Wyatts have been pushed, and none of them seem to be going off the tracks soon. Though the Shield has enjoyed being forces to be reckoned with for close to a year now, the Wyatts have just made a splash. The strength the Wyatts have over the Shield is that of the sheer creepiness and intrigue provided by Bray Wyatt’s video promos and the clear advantage that the Shield seems to be having is that they don’t have a clear leader, and every match they are involved in together is an entertainer.

They come with an air reserved for heels. They have the potential to be the greatest stables. The most prominent three men stables that come to mind are The Fabulous Freebirds and the New World Order. Though I am not going to compare and talk about the famous two, I feel that Wyatts and the Shield can fall in the same league.

The Shield seems to be a step closer, because they actually work as a team, and on the other hand, Bray Wyatt is the mouthpiece and leader of his group. And more than the Wyatts, the Shield’s break up seems inevitable after some time, given the frenzy around each individual superstar.

But is there a chance that the two stables can face off in the future? In the very near future?

The cool entrance of the Shield and the cool execution of Bray Wyatt’s promos, the distinct personalities and fighting style of the members of the Shield and the creepiness and mysterious nature of the Wyatt family- it can be amalgamated into something worthwhile and entertaining.

But if I think about all of them forming an alliance, then that seems completely futile. Mixing them together won’t do these two stables justice. Having them compete against each other seems more plausible.

Even though Bray Wyatt is the leader, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan seem to be an indispensable part of the union. This gimmick seems to be one that can stand the test of time. The outlandish quality to Bray Wyatt is because of the involvement of these two as his followers. Separating might be disparaging for Harper and Rowan more than Wyatt, as the latter seems to be the mastermind of most of their quests.

Even though a match or a feud between the two seems a bit far-fetched (maybe a lot far-fetched), a backstage promo or back and forth interactions between the two certainly wouldn’t do any harm. It would be awesome to see these energies collide and look each other in the eye and stand fearless. Here’s hoping that these young stars shine through in the WWE and raise the level of awesomeness.
