Robbie E's unique new podcast has many garnered fans within the first week of its debut

Impact Wrestling Superstar, Robbie E's podcast Why It Ended made its debut last week and was an instant hit amongst the fans for its unique content. Not only did he decide to bring the former wrestlers on his show but also provided for the 'forgotten' names to share about their journey in professional wrestling - their rise, their fall and their struggles.

Recently, we got the chance to catch up with the former TNA X-division Champion. He shared his thoughts on a variety of topic including his podcast, his days in Impact Wrestling, Daniel Bryan's return and more in a delightful conversation.

Here are few excerpts from his exclusive interview:

Q. What's been keeping you busy these days?

Well, I have started a brand new podcast "Why It Ended" and it's on the MLW Network which is the biggest network for wrestling podcasts. It drops on iTunes and whyitended.com every Wednesday.

We have been getting great reviews. The storyline of the show is very different from the other podcasts. Mainly because my guests are going to be the wrestlers who vanished from the scene, the ones that went away and the ones that people have forgotten about. So I am really excited about that.

Q. Your podcast was an instant hit and is widely interpreted as a unique show as compared to other podcasts in business. So what kind of guests are you looking forward to hosting in your show and who can we see in the upcoming episodes?

We started off with Glacier which was great. Because he is a name that everyone remembers from the 90s but no one really knew his story. Then we moved on to Muhammad Hassan who is popular like Glacier but has a different story which is more tragic. It is good to share these inspiring tales with the fans.

It was a great second show and we have a lot of guys lined up for the upcoming shows. They are going to surprise the fans when they tell their stories. I don't want to give away the names because we I want to go week to week and we have a great bunch of talent lined up for the podcast.

Q. You were associated with Impact Wrestling for long. What do you think of Impact's change in management, in recent times?

You know, it is what it is. Times change and the money situation in Impact is very different than what it used to be. I am happy for the guys that are still there, those who are able to get TV time and some money. But for me, it was just time to go move on. I was there for seven long years and it was time to try something new.

I wish the best for everyone there. Everyone is trying as hard as they can to make it and survive.

Q. What was your favourite memory of working at Impact Wrestling?

There are a lot of them. Anytime you win Championship, it'a memory that stands out. Being the X-Division Champion, TV Champion and Tag team Champion feels great. I'd say winning those three titles on four different occasions (Robbie E is a two-time Tag Team Champion) are the most memorable moments from my Impact career.

Q. Would you like to go back to Impact Wrestling under the new management?

You know what it is, I mean never say never. If things change there, of course, I will go back. I left with the new management because I don't know if they were not interested in Robbie E or there was a money situation if any. I left for a reason and I am out there conquering something.

Right now I am focused on my podcast. I am also doing weekly videos for Muscle & Fitness called the Dad Bod Destroyer in which I do fitness videos with my baby twins.

Q. Do you follow the WWE product? If yes, what do you have to say about Daniel Bryan's return to the ring?

I try to catch up with all the wrestling that my cable gets. I cannot say that I am up to date on the product but I keep a track of what's going on. About Daniel Bryan, obviously I heard about it but I didn't see it. It was all over Twitter. I did see that he is back and good for him. Good story -- guy loves wrestling, sort of screws over and now he is back! So props to him for that.

Q. Speaking about wrestling, you aren't restricted to the ring. You were associated with the critically acclaimed movie The Wrestler. How was your experience working in the films and what sort of projects would you like to do in future?

Any kind of show which is appealing to me. I was a part of The funny story about The Wrestler is that I was not actually in it.I was supposed to be filming it.However, I had to pull out because I had to be a part of an international tour (England) and I was supposed to be in the locker room.

But because I was scripted in the movie I actually got the name and the credits. *chuckles* It's funny because I am credited for the movie but I wasn't actually in the movie.

Q. How about reality shows? We have seen you on The Amazing Race. So now what other reality shows would you like to be a part of?

I can try anything I think. As long as what I am doing is not too crazy or if I am unsure about it -- as long as I am not eating anything that's too disgusting or something that weird. I am always open to ideas. I love watching reality shows and one of my favourites is The Bachelor. But I can't be on that show since I am married.

Q. Another important thing that we wanted to know is how do you feel about NWA's return?

Oh, I think it's awesome! Billy Corgan is helping with it and he is super talented. It's another place that will eventually give the guys more options to wrestle and it is getting a lot of foreign exposure. Nick Aldis is their Champion and he is a really good friend of mine and e is very talented. I think it's really cool to have it back in the pro-wrestling business.

You can catch the new episodes of Why It Ended on Itunes, Whyitended.com, and MLWRADIO.COM. every Wednesday at 6 AM IST.
