While WWE didn't exactly follow-up Backlash with an episode of Raw to remember, Money in the Bank, traditionally one of the best shows of the year, is just around the corner.

Without any further ado, here are some rumors to get you excited for Backlash and a few others from the world of wrestling outside WWE.


#1 Brock Lesnar will not appear at Money in the Bank

On the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Brock Lesnar would miss Money in the Bank. The veteran journalist also stated that the reigning Universal Champion might not defend his title until Summerslam.

At this point, an eventual return to the UFC appears to be inevitable for Lesnar who was suspended for a year by USADA after failing a drug test in the build-up to his fight with Mark Hunt at UFC 200.

#2 Why Michael Cole referred to Seth Rollins' finisher as "The Stomp" on Monday Night Raw

On the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw, Michael Cole referred to Seth Rollins' finisher, which was previously labeled "The Blackout", as "The Stomp. While it's entirely possible that the voice of WWE simply had a brain fade, Dave Meltzer stated that the move was probably renamed by Vince McMahon

#3 Here's why Edge and Christian were present at Backlash

Edge and Christian were backstage at the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, to prepare for production of their show's second season that will air on the WWE Network. Production of the Edge and Christian Show will reportedly begin on the 25th of May.

#4 Jason Jordan was backstage at Raw

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Jason Jordan was backstage at Raw for the first time since he underwent neck surgery in February. The University of Indiana product is reportedly ready to make his in-ring return, but WWE opted not to use him on the most recent episode of their flagship show.
