Best friends?

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have a storied history throughout their careers, being both partners and rivals in and out of WWE.

They had many excellent matches on WWE TV since Owens joined WWE and almost immediately turned on his best friend during his first night in NXT.

They have since had battles on NXT, RAW, Smackdown and WWE pay-per-views. Zayn was one of the most beloved superstars in all of WWE from when he debuted in 2014 until he did the unthinkable last October.

The Underdog would shockingly aid bitter rival Owens in his Hell in A Cell match with Shane McMahon and ever since, have been Smackdown's top duo and heels.

They have also continued their feud with Shane McMahon which reached it's boiling point this week on Smackdown.

Shane announced that he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence as SmackDown Commissioner before in his final act, making a match between Zayn and Owens at WrestleMania.

I believe we will see some kind of addition to the match with the Smackdown commissioner, with a Triple Threat probably the most likely outcome.

The boy wonder to seek revenge?

The way things have been going with Zayn and Owens, I think it is quite possible that we may see the two split, with the Undderdog possibly turning face and reigniting he and KO's near-legendary feud on a more serious base.

This seems a little unlikely given how the beatdown both of them gave Shane McMahon went down, but we have seen stranger things happen.

Zayn and Owens have had countless epic matches in the past, and could easily put on one of the best matches of the entire year at WrestleMania.

Smackdown is in need of some more top face superstars and the Underdog fits that bill perfectly.

I think a breakup and series of epic battles is highly possible, but only if WWE is smart about it.

Over the next week or two, Zayn and Owens could erupt to the point where the turn could be close to happening, but not officially until after the WrestleMania match.

At the Grandest Stage Of Them All they will likely finish the Smackdown commissioner portion of the feud, and thus we get our big blow off of the Owens/McMahon feud and transition into another classic Zayn vs. Owens series.
