When Triple H unveiled NXT's new North American Championship belt last week, it was greeted with a mixed reception.
A huge portion of the WWE Universe loved the sleek, old-school design - but a lot of people thought it looked a lot like the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships with the plate sprayed gold.
The Championship was, rather bizarrely, unveiled in a darkened room with a burgundy backdrop, meaning you couldn't really see the different gold and silver textures on the front and, even more strangely, the strap looked maroon - as you can see below.
Well, WWE has unveiled some new photographs of the belt and, wow, it really is a beautiful strap. In the new images, you can see the three different shades on the plates of the belt, as well as the vintage brown leather strap. In fact, everything about the belt just looks great.
Much like the WWE United Kingdom Championship, the new photos of this belt have been widely welcomed by the WWE Universe - with many saying it may indeed be the most aesthetically pleasing title in WWE today. The new photographs really do show off all the details that make this belt look so great.
While in the original images, the full plate looked like a gold coin, up close, you can really see the detailing both on and around the plate - and even the ridged strap is a nice change.
So, who will be the first man to have the pleasure of holding this belt as the first ever NXT North American Champion?
Well, the inaugural Champion will be crowned at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans in a six-man Ladder Match between Ricochet, EC3, Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream, Killian Dain and Lars Sullivan.
NXT TakeOver: New Orleans takes place this Saturday, the day before WrestleMania, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana - and I really can't wait to see someone hold this new title belt aloft after what promises to be an incredible match!
