SK's Take on the Possible Winner of the WWE Championship match at The Royal Rumble
Who will come out victorious, from this handicap match?
The announcement last week took the sports entertainment fraternity entirely by surprise! AJ Styles will defend the top prize in sports entertainment, not against just one but two highly talented individuals. The best part, this is not a triple threat match. This is a handicap match!
AJ Styles now finds himself embroiled in the tensions that seem to be brewing between SmackDown Live General Manager, Daniel Bryan and SmackDown Live Commissioner, Shane McMahon. McMahon has been at odds with Owens and Zayn for a while, whereas Bryan has claimed he recognizes the value these two men bring to the table.
While the match between Lesnar, Strowman and Kane will be notable for the mighty spectacle of the same, this particular contest should appeal to those who are fans of in-ring work, considering how each of the men involved is a world-class sports entertainment star.
Rumours have emerged that this match will be the straw that breaks the newly forged alliance between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. This could conceivably lead to a match between the two men at WrestleMania. After all, only one of them can be WWE Champion!
In which case, which of these men would hold the prize, coming out of the match?
In our opinion, AJ Styles will retain the WWE Championship. Rumours are rife that Shinsuke Nakamura is well on his way to winning the actual Royal Rumble match. The dream match that pits Nakamura against Styles could play out at the Showcase of the Immortals soon!
Moreover, remember the news that was leaked recently about AJ Styles defending the championship against 5 men at WWE Fastlane, come March? This leads us to believe that he will hold on to the Championship, coming out of this match.
Of course, plans are always changing and the scenario at the Royal Rumble could play out very differently. Do let us know in the comments who you believe will emerge as the winner?
