Let's view the hottest WWE developments that transpired, this week!

If you are a professional wrestling fan, you must be quite happy with the events that transpired this week. You got a first-ever dream match between John Cena and Braun Strowman and a shocking attack on the man who is the embodiment of sports entertainment- Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

Heck, you even experienced history with the first finals of the inaugural edition of the Mae Young Classic 32-woman tournament following SmackDown Live. However, the events we have outlined are just the tip of the iceberg. There was a lot more that happened, this week.

For your convenience and pleasure, we've compiled them in this feature. Welcome to the latest edition of SKFabe.

#1 Yet another massive dream match teased

Remember this classic confrontation between the two incredible performers?
Remember this classic confrontation between the two incredible performers?

Seth Rollins may be in the tag team division right now, but not long ago he was 'The Man', carrying the company as the face of WWE. He was asked during an interview with '107.7 The Bone' about his dream WrestleMania match.

The Kingslayer had this to say in response:

"Shawn Michaels…he’s always my answer just because he’s my favorite wrestler ever, and I think he’s just the best. I’d love to go out there and tear it up with him at Wrestlemania; you know they don’t call him Mr. Wrestlemania for no reason. The guy is just incredible at what he does, and obviously, I could learn a lot being in the ring with him, but it would just be fantastic to get out there and have a match with him.”

We'd be totally down for a match between the two men. However, we highly doubt that Shawn Michaels will come back to face Seth Rollins, when he refused to face AJ Styles, despite all of the internet wrestling community clamouring for a WrestleMania return.

#2 Dana Warrior was not amused

See the thumbs down sign from Dana Warrior?
See the thumbs down sign from Dana Warrior?

This may all be a work! However, when Dolph Ziggler parodied The Ultimate Warrior, as part of his new gimmick, The Warrior's widow, Dana, showed him the thumbs down sign. This happened during this week's episode of Sin City SmackDown, when Ziggler also parodied Bayley and Shane McMahon, during the show's opening segment.

While some have called this segment highly disrespectful of The Ultimate Warrior's legacy, others like Lance Storm have spoken out in support. Let's see where this angle goes, in the weeks that follow.

#3 Big Show will undergo hip surgery

Looks like The Big Show's going to be out of action, for a while now!
Looks like The Big Show's going to be out of action, for a while now!

The Big Show was always supposed to undergo surgery following his match against Braun Strowman, during last week's episode of RAW. WWE.com just made it official and made it seem like the hip surgery was a direct result of the match.

His surgery, unfortunately, had to be postponed, as a result of the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma. We wish him all the best and we hope that whatever little time The Big Show has left in the ring, is truly memorable and enjoyable. He's doing better work at this stage of his career than ever before!

#4 Terrible attendance for RAW and SmackDown Live

Despite solid viewership numbers, the live attendance was dismal
Despite solid viewership numbers, the live attendance was dismal

In terms of TV viewership, SmackDown Live did one of its best numbers, this week. Even RAW scored a decent number if you consider the competition it was up against. However, the live attendance for both shows was dismal.

RAW attracted a meagre 7000 people to watch the proceedings, despite the fact that WWE put on a great showcase with Cena and Strowman wrestling for the very first time. Here is a bird's eye view of the stands.

Even the return of Vince McMahon and three title matches could not attract audiences to SmackDown Live, sadly. There were only around 4000 attendees!

#5 Lesnar's character was once pitched as 'gay'

Yes, you read that right!
Yes, you read that right!

Brian Solomon, a former writer for WWE, recently revealed in an interview that he once pitched the idea of Brock Lesnar as a gay character. While he wouldn't necessarily be effeminate, anyone who made fun of his sexuality would be pounded into dust.

Stephanie McMahon, who was in charge of creative back then, even liked the idea of a strong gay character. The only person not enthused with this idea was Lesnar, who expressed his discomfort to WWE creative.

Billy and Chuck eventually got a hold of this gimmick, and they ran with it for a while.

#6 Chris Jericho made a very bold statement

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but it's strange coming from Jericho!
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but it's strange coming from Jericho!

For someone who has evolved with the times like Chris Jericho, one would assume that he's a fan of the NJPW product. However, he made a comment on social media that has sent the internet into an absolute frenzy.

A fan on Twitter asked if he liked the NJPW product. Jericho replied saying that he found the crew extremely overrated, in his opinion. As of writing this post, the Tweet has been taken down. However, you can still find it here.

Did he change his mind? Was he trolling us all along? Guess we'll never know!

Could Corbin become the next United States Champion?
