Batista reveals why he initially left the WWE

Batista is well on his way to emulating The Rock as a successful film star in Hollywood but it could've very easily been different if he hadn't of left the WWE twice during his wrestling career. Now 'The Animal' has spoken out on why he left the WWE in 2010.

"It came about out of spite. First, I have to say it came from me discovering I was a horrible actor and I wanted to be a better actor and I wanted to do it while I was still with WWE. They would not give me the opportunity within the company. So I said, ‘I should be given the opportunity to do it outside of the company.’ They said, ‘absolutely not.'” I said, ‘Well I’m going to let my contract run out and I’m going to leave.’ So that’s exactly what I did and I set out to be an actor.”

Batista's words came from an interview with TalkSport (h/t Heroic Hollywood) and they go some way to show how he has grown as a person. But looking back now you have to give the man credit for banking on himself as an actor because look at him now!
