#5 The botch or the storyline?

Charlotte drops Sasha across all three ropes, injuring the champion's back.
This could have been a hit or miss moment

This may seem sudden and like a typical main roster shtick, but Charlotte winning back the title a few weeks after she lost it to Banks may just be the right call. In NXT, once you lose the title you lose it mostly for good to get promoted to the main roster.

But there is no going up anywhere once you’re in the main roster- the ‘big league’. Charlotte and Banks are the present of the division which is soon going to be graced by Bayley who seemingly gave her goodbye performance at Takeover Brooklyn II.

She may just have a passing the torch match against Ember Moon, but Bayley is soon going to be promoted. For sure.

This championship bout was presented as a bad blood feud and it began viciously eventually leading to both trading slaps. What seemed like a botch when Charlotte dropped Banks on the top turnbuckle was made it into a part of the story since WWE immediately put it on social media emphasizing the moment.

What got the audience really interested was after Charlotte went for Razor’s edge from the second rope and Banks countered it to a hurricanrana.

The match was good, as was expected. Banks kept on trying to lock the bank statement until it became the reason for her reign’s impending doom. Charlotte countered it to put Banks shoulders on the match for the pin and win.
