Randy Orton is arguably the best heel in the pro-wrestling business right now. He has been brutal ever since he adopted the ‘legend killer’ gimmick and has preyed upon the likes of Edge, Christian, Big Show, and most recently, Ric Flair. He is now set to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
While Drew McIntyre has been great as a fighting champion on RAW, Randy Orton’s current momentum makes him the favourite to walk out of SummerSlam with the WWE Championship. It’s been a long time since a heel has held one of the most coveted prizes in WWE. Moreover, if the title changes hand, it would help Orton in getting more heat from the WWE Universe.
Randy Orton doesn’t need a lengthy title reign. But a WWE Championship will certainly help in establishing him as the biggest heel on RAW. Following that, whoever gets the chance to put an end to his championship reign and his run as a ‘legend killer’ will get over with the WWE Universe organically. Hopefully, WWE will make the best use of this opportunity and have Randy Orton win the title at SummerSlam.
