Jimmy Snuka was recently interviewed by Wrestling 101, when he talked about his experience with The Undertaker. Snuka was the Undertaker’s first opponent at WrestleMania.
“Being the first guy to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania was great,” he said. “I remember Vince McMahon coming up to me and asking me to wrestle The Undertaker, and I asked how much I would be getting paid for the match, because that was the name of the game. I’m not a glory guy but this is a business.
“It was a great pleasure to me the first guy to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania, and after the match he couldn’t stop thanking me. And to think the streak now stands at 20-0 and he is still going!”
Snuka also said about the current WWE: “I still sit down and watch these guys every Monday night on RAW and I love them all. It is just so completely different to the old school. Back in those days we would tell a story and these days you can’t keep up all the time because it moves along so fast, so you don’t know who’s a good guy and who’s a bad guy any more.”Published 13 Dec 2012, 18:16 IST
