Tag team to return after four years and cost Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax on SmackDown? Exploring the possibility

This week's episode of WWE SmackDown promises to be a must-watch when Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton face Bayley and Naomi. If one of the latter team scores the pinfall, they'll earn a WWE Women's Championship match against Jax. However, if either of them loses, they'll be exiled from the blue brand.

The stakes couldn't be higher for Bayley and Naomi, but they could have a helping hand. Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton have been causing all sorts of mischief on WWE SmackDown, but the returning IIconics could stop them.

The IIconics were last seen in WWE four years ago under Vince McMahon's regime. Their releases took many by surprise, especially the comedic character Billie Kay had developed, which was extremely popular.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H oversaw the development of the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions in NXT. The Game might have reached out to the Australian duo regarding a return, and crashing the women's world title scene would make a major impact.

Peyton Royce, also known as Cassie Lee, got fans dreaming of an IIconics return with a post on her X/Twitter account. She posted a gif of The Office's Michael Scott's famous 'It's happening... everybody stay calm' scene.

The former TNA star has entered into several ventures during her post-WWE career. She and Billie Kay used to host their podcast, Off Her Chops, and the IIconics recently launched their merchandise store, The Inspiration Store.

The IIconics would be the perfect foil for Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton on WWE SmackDown

The IIconics will forever be remembered as one of the funniest tag teams in WWE history. Fans may recall Billie Kay hilariously reacting to being eliminated from the Women's Royal Rumble in an interview with Cathy Kelley.

The Aussie duo's comedic brilliance would work perfectly against Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton, who have been going down a similar route lately. They've linked up with Pretty Deadly to create a mixed stable of sorts that is causing carnage on WWE SmackDown.

The last time the IIconics and the reigning WWE Women's Champion were in the ring was at WrestleMania 35. They won the tag titles in an emotional victory to kickstart a four-month reign that won fans over.

Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton aren't the only WWE SmackDown team the former Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions could start feuding with if they were to return. Chelsea Green (with Piper Niven) embodies similar comedic characteristics that could have fans in stitches if she were to get in a promo battle with Billie Kay.
