Trish Stratus - Record 7 time WWF Women's Champion

Trish Stratus first set foot in the WWF in March 2000, originally as a manager to mid-card tag team, T & A (Test and Albert).

However, she soon began to make sporadic appearances in the ring. Wrestling did not come naturally to the former fitness model however and her matches were usually very basic or demeaning bra & panties type match-ups.

Not content to settle, however, Stratus spent copious amounts of time with WWF trainers, Dave Finlay in particular, on practicing and practicing the fundamentals.

By the time 2003 rolled around, Stratus had developed into a capable worker and by 2005, she was the finest female Western wrestler in the world.

Her sixth reign as Champion was her most successful. Winning the belt from long-term rival Lita at the New Year's Revolution pay-per-view in January 2005, Stratus held the title successfully until Wrestlemania 22 in April 2006, when she was dethroned by the psychotic, Mickie James in a classic match-up.

Stratus would win the belt, one final time in September 2006 in her retirement match to depart the sport as a record 7-time Women's Champion.
