On the October 27, 2003 episode of Raw, Chris Jericho defeated Intercontinental Champion, Rob Van Dam to win his sixth IC title.

However, RVD enacted his re-match clause that same night and beat Jericho to win back the title.

Jericho's reign had not even lasted one full episode of Raw. Certainly, it was not the most memorable of his record nine IC reigns.
