'The Architect' turns 29- A birthday tribute to Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins turns 29 today

Call him a Sell-out, a suck-up, WWE’s Justin Bieber or whatever you want! At the end of the day, he is your WWE World Heavyweight Champion. That is reality! Add to that, he probably is the most talented superstar on the current WWE roster. He may be an adorable baby boy of a powerful corporate couple but he surely is one gem of a man when it comes to physical and mental agility. Seth Rollins’ WWE saga can be explained in two halves- Before turning heel and after his epic heel turn. Call it an exaggeration but I don’t mind calling it an ‘EPIC’ heel turn.

Last year in June, Rollins turned his back on Reigns and Ambrose and became an integral part of ‘The Authority’. Today, he was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. I hope you now understand why I called it Epic! He won the ‘Money in the Bank’ contract, cashed it in at the grandest stage, WrestleMania 31 on two of the greatest wrestlers on the roster today- Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. He did the unthinkable! When WrestleMania 31 ended, Seth Rollins was on top of the world. He was the face of the company now!

Many guys have competed in the WWE who are more talented than Seth Rollins but couldn’t make it big in the business. They were happy with the mid-level Intercontinental, Cruiserweight and US titles. Look at Seth! He was a tag team champion earlier when he was a part of ‘The Shield’. Going back to the days of ‘The Shield’, one would like to see Rollins jump over the barricade and assault the superstars inside the ring along with his partners, Ambrose and Reigns. He never competed for any of the mid-level titles. One heel turn and that’s it.... A direct jump from nowhere to the main event at WrestleMania. Seth calls himself ‘The Architect’ of ‘The Shield’. I don’t find any reason to be at loggerheads with my Champion!

His decade long career has been spectacular, as are his 2 years in the WWE. Seth is a former NXT Champion, the first ever FCW Grand Slam Champion, a former WWE Tag Team Champion and the current WWE WHC- So much so early! The WWE creative team is engaged in building interesting storylines for Seth Rollins. During the past few months, there has been a difference of opinion between Kane and Rollins. The monster and the champion would never stay on the same page. Triple H does not want any internal conflicts in ‘The Authority’ and so has been playing peacemaker between the two. But as far as the fans are concerned, Rollins taking it to Kane is always visually appealing. Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose have been doing a great job in storylines too. A storyline between the members of ‘The Shield’ is always interesting. Isn’t it?

Seth will defend his WHC at the ‘Elimination Chamber’ PPV against Dean Ambrose. Since WrestleMania 31, Seth Rollins featured in the main event of all the WWE PPVs. Many experts have already predicted a long title reign for Rollins and that would obviously be ‘Best for Business’. It is also highly likely that Seth would remain the Champion atleast until Summer Slam. As Seth would say, he has earned everything all by himself. As of today, Seth did not engage himself in any gruelling physical encounters but he probably has one of the best minds in the business. Whether you like it or not and whether you accept it or not, Seth Rollins has a very bright future in the days to come and let’s wish him a very Happy Birthday!

Long Live Seth!
