Winner: Rowan
If WWE's goal was to build Rowan up as a threat to Roman Reigns for their match at Clash of Champions, they succeeded.
Breaking Vince Russo and Jim Cornette update HERE.
Daniel Bryan was adamant that he had nothing to do with the attack on Roman Reigns, and demanded an apology from the latter for falsely accusing him of being involved.
Afterward, Rowan came out and blindsided Roman Reigns, before grabbing a microphone and blasting Bryan for his betrayal, before laying a beating on him.
If this is truly the end of Rowan and Bryan's alliance, it's hard to believe it will lead to anything huge for the former, but I imagine that this isn't the end. Do you really believe that this angle is going to end with Rowan being the mastermind? It's hard to think that this is going to lead to anything other than Reigns vs. Bryan at some point down the line.
In fact, with this being the time of year where WrestleMania plans start getting discussed, one imagines a strong possibility of the two meeting in Tampa Bay.
For all the goodwill toward Kofi Kingston, it's hard to imagine him keeping his title that long. As of now, Reigns vs. Bryan is obviously the biggest match that can be done on SmackDown's side of the equation.
