The Rock shocked the world with his blockbuster return to WWE at the Bad Blood 2024 Premium Live Event after several months of absence. The Great One's comeback to the Stamford-based promotion confirmed that he will definitely get featured in storylines moving forward. However, at the PLE in Atlanta, The Final Boss did not utter a single word and just stood on the entrance ramp, having an intense staredown with Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Jimmy Uso. Moreover, before leaving the arena, The People's Champion counted to three with his fingers and made a slit-throat gesture.
This sign might be enough to showcase that he was back with a purpose and he may also be operating things behind the scenes as he is now a board member of TKO Group Holdings.
Eddy Thorpe had been trying to set up a meeting with The Rock's daughter, Ava, for a long time to discuss his future on NXT. However, he never got time to have a meeting due to the busy schedule of the General Manager of the black and silver brand. The latest episode of NXT saw Thorpe rush after Ava while the latter was busy with some other work.
In a rush, Thorpe grabbed Ava's hand, which irritated the latter and she told him to leave her hand. However, a brawl between two tag teams broke out, and in chaos, they accidentally slammed into the office door of the 23-year-old, which knocked her out. Shawn Michaels immediately arrived at the spot, furiously pushed Eddy back, and asked him to leave before turning his attention to Ava.
This incident would have definitely angered The Rock, and Shawn Michaels could face the wrath of the former as he could misuse his power as the TKO Board Member and fire The Heartbreak Kid. The real-life heat between the two legends could also play an important part in this potential twist.
WWE legend The Rock reveals wrestling brought his daughter Ava close to him
Last year, while speaking on The Pivot Podcast, The Rock revealed that his busy schedule with WWE and his Hollywood career affected his bond with his daughter, Ava. However, The Final Boss revealed that professional wrestling helped him come closer to his daughter and have a strong bond with her.
"I had her when I was young, in my twenties. So when I had Simone, I was flying by the seat of my pants. I was wrestling full-time. I started transitioning into movies full time. I had so much sh*t going on. I like to say that me and Simone grew up together but we had a relationship where I was always gone and we tried to keep it together. Now, years later, as she becomes a pro wrestler, it's actually brought us closer together," The Rock said. [H/T USA Network]
It remains to be seen how Ava will react moving forward after being accidentally knocked out on NXT.
