#2. Rock defeats CM Punk - Royal Rumble 2013

The clash in which The Rock won the WWE Championship was certainly better than his next bout with CM Punk. At the Royal Rumble, he was given an opportunity at Punk's title and it was announced that if The Shield interfered in the match, CM Punk would be stripped of his title.

Both superstars fought fiercely until the lights went off and The Brahma Bull was attacked by a group that everyone believed to be The Shield.

Vince McMahon ordered Punk to relinquish his title but was halted by The Brahma Bull who wanted a fair fight. The People's Champ came out victorious in the brawl.

Once in a lifetime things are a must-see event and so was the original match between The Rock and John Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII. The match had every right to be called an epic and will long live in the memory of the WWE Universe.

Nostalgia, an icon vs icon buildup, the battle of promos, everything was worth it. The only thing which took away from this contest is that it was repeated the next year. Nonetheless, The Great One came out on top in one of the most anticipated matches in recent memory.
