Probably, the New Day is the best thing that has happened to WWE’s Tag team division as of late. In their year-plus as WWE Tag Champions, New Day has impressed both the fans and critics of the pro-wrestling industry.
Awards like Tag team of the Year(2015), Best Gimmick (2015) and WWE Wrestlers of the Year (2015) only add upto their success as a tag team. Without a doubt, they are responsible for bringing a new life to WWE’s main roster.
But good things don’t last forever. Although some rumors indicated that the team will break up by next year, it seems that the ‘end’ will be earlier than expected.
According to the latest reports on allwrestlingnews.com, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon himself wants to hasten the split of this famous tag team. The main reason behind this decision seems to be the upcoming brand split, and the fact that he feels Big E is potential star by himself.
The Chairman feels that after the brand split, the rosters will need some top babyfaces and heels and for that, the New Day needs to come to an end.It is entirely possible that Big E will be receiving a good main event push after New Day ‘falls’.
The team’s ongoing feud with The Wyatt Family may be their last feud as a stable.
