KUSHIDA did not defend his WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship at TakeOver: In Your House. However, he will issue another Open Challenge on NXT this week.

The Japanese Superstar’s first open challenge was answered by Carmelo Hayes a couple of weeks ago. Hayes did well but could not dethrone the new champion.

Surprisingly, KUSHIDA does not have a top rivalry going on in WWE. That could all change this week as WWE must allow a villainous superstar to answer his challenge.

WWE must allow Boa to come out and accept KUSHIDA’s challenge on the instructions of Tian Sha. Xia Li is the only one who has been fighting for the faction, and things should change on this week’s episode of NXT.

Boa last competed in NXT in October 2019 and has since only been seen in other roles as part of the faction. WWE should now allow him to return to competition and give him a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship right away to start an exciting rivalry with KUSHIDA.

The angle will allow Boa to return to the ring while keeping KUSHIDA busy against a rising faction.
