Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews teamed up with Sami Zayn to take on Big E and Kevin Owens on WWE SmackDown last week. Crews and Zayn were able to dominate the action for some time, but could not put the babyfaces down.

In the end, Owens hit a Stunner to flatten Zayn and pick up the victory. After the match, Crews issued a brand new challenge to the victors. He challenged Big E and Owens to a tag team match against himself and Commander Azeez for next week’s SmackDown.

This will be Azeez’s first match in the SmackDown ring. WWE could look to make it grand for him and allow him to pick up the victory for his team. WWE must give Azeez the chance to spike Big E with the Nigerian Nail and pin him to end the match.

This could lead to a new rivalry between Big E and Azeez to keep both men busy. It looked like Big E was getting into a rivalry with Aleister Black before The Dutchman was released from his contract.

Big E could have a few matches with Azeez while KO needs to go after Crews and his title. The angle could allow Big E to move into the Universal Championship picture later on.
