#3 Finish to Fastlane match

Was The Fastlane pay per view really the end of The Shield?
Was The Fastlane pay per view really the end of The Shield?

In all honesty, the end of the match between The Shield and Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley was a strange one. While that might sound a little ridiculous, especially with how much fans wanted The Shield to defeat the three dastardly villains, think of what a win for those three men would have meant for their respective careers!

Not only would they have knocked off one of the greatest factions in WWE history or at least of the last decade, but they would have also gained necessary momentum that they could have used heading into WrestleMania 35. Instead, however, the trio ultimately lost to The Hounds of Justice, which killed any momentum the group had going into Mania.

If nothing else, the finish to this match proves beyond a reasonable doubt that WWE wants to reunite The Shield one more time and allow McIntyre, Corbin and Lashley to avenge their loss. Again, it's not the happy ending that fans may want and it will probably involve Ambrose taking the deciding fall, but it's still worth it to promote these three worthy stars.
