Longtime TNA employee Christy Hemme, who has been with the franchise since 2006, took to social media to announce that she was finally putting an end to her decade long career with the promotion, reports wrestlinginc.com.
The 35-year-old not only worked for the company as an in-ring talent but also as a backstage interviewer as well as a position on the franchise’s creative team in her ten-year tenure with the firm.
Hemme, who gave birth to her first child – a girl, Charlie, last January, originally announced her decision to quit the franchise last May, via a formal notice, in order to take up a ‘great job’ outside the professional wrestling world.
The wrestler had an active role in TNA in recent times, working on a few angles and ring announcement work last summer, but it now seems that she's finally closing the door on the wrestling chapter of her life.
Hemme took to social networking site Twitter to express her thanks to TNA and its Executive Vice President John Gaburick.
The California native originally started out as a model, before entering WWE’s Diva Search in 2004, which she won, beginning her career in the wrestling world.
