After returning, Waltman became a member of the reformed D – Generation X, and was a part of “The Kliq”, a notorious group which included the likes of Triple H and Shawn Michaels (Including Nash and Hall before they left for WCW). Waltman won the WWF European championship, and then teamed up with Kane to win the WWF Tag Team championships. Waltman then turned on Kane and joined D – Generation X once again, before getting injured and was out of action for three months.

Waltman then won the WWF Light Heavyweight championship and the Cruiserweight championship in the WWF. He then became a part of the New World Order in the WWF along with Nash and Hall, but the angle was dropped soon and Waltman found his way out of the company. He then went to TNA and had a couple of runs with the company, winning the X – Division championship. Waltman performed on the independent scene for years, and has since signed a legends deal with the WWE.

Sean Waltman was a good worker, but his personal life and his problems with drug addiction affected his career. Waltman never truly performed up to his potential, and has given the notion that he has taken the easy way out. Waltman’s personal life has been just as contradictory as his career, and he has checked into the WWE rehab to sober up. Waltman is considered to be one of the wasted talents due to his potential, but is seen as a guy who never worked for what he has achieved. It is believed that Waltman got things handed to him, and that places him in our list of one of the most overrated superstars in the history of the WWE.
