The Phenomenal one held the WWE Championship for the most part of 2018 before losing it to Daniel Bryan. AJ Styles has been on a roll ever since he joined the company and it is fair to say that the WWE Universe is in awe of the Phenomenal One everytime he steps foot inside the squared circle.
Styles is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all-time and is capable of putting a great show with almost anyone in the locker room. The former impact wrestler successfully defended the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 34 against Shinsuke Nakamura in what was a highly anticipated match.

Styles did go to war with the Destroyer, Samoa Joe as their rivalry got intense with time but Joe wasn't able to take away the WWE Championship from the Phenomenal One because to put it in simple words, AJ Styles is that damn good!
SmackDown had impressive ratings in 2018 and this man was a major reason for that.
