Jeff Hardy crashed through Edge during the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 23

WWE WrestleMania 23 saw Jeff Hardy make his first WrestleMania appearance in five years as he competed in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Other participants in the match included Mr. Kennedy, CM Punk, Edge, Finlay, King Booker, Matt Hardy, and Randy Orton. They were all vying to retrieve the briefcase suspended above the ring that contained a world championship opportunity, guaranteed for the next 12 months.

After a fast-paced start to the match, Matt and Jeff Hardy began attacking their long-term rival Edge. A ladder was balanced between the ring apron and the barricade surrounding the ringside area. Matt Hardy carefully placed the Rated-R Superstar onto the ladder and then encouraged his brother to jump from a ladder inside the ring.

Jeff Hardy then jumped close to 25 feet from the ladder inside the ring, hitting Edge with a leg drop and driving the Rated-R Superstar through the steel ladder. The audience inside the stadium and watching at home were shocked at what they had just witnessed.

Unfortunately for Jeff Hardy and Edge, the two superstars were unable to compete for the remainder of the match. Both WWE Superstars were taken to local medical facilities in what was an incredible WWE WrestleMania moment.
