#3 Demolition take the Tag Team Titles

Demolition vs Strike Force

When Demolition came into the WWF, they quickly rose to become the hottest tag team in the promotion. The team was undefeated in over a year on WWF's Superstar show and would only lose two televised matches, the first to the Can-Am Connection and the second to the team of Mil Mascaras and Tito Santana for Paul Boesch's retirement show in Houston, Texas.

In the lead up to Wrestlemania, Demolition had defeated the Rougeau Brothers, and the Killer Bees as well as a host of other teams. Wrestlemania 4 would be Demolition's first shot at the titles since joining the promotion, though they did face off against the champions in a losing effort at Survivor Series but were eliminated after Demolition Smash hit the referee and got disqualified.

In the match itself, Demolition would have a decent match against the champion with Demolition using their power against the speed of Strike Force. However, Smash would find himself in trouble during the match as Rick Martel caught him in the Boston Crab, which Strike Force used to beat the Hart Foundation. Ax would save his tag team partner after grabbing Mr. Fuji's cane and using it to knock Martel out.

Demolition would continue their path of destruction while holding the belts, reigning for just over a year with the title, and win the belt a further 2 times later in their career. Their first reign with the belt also is the longest running title reign with the WWF title, though The New Day would eclipse this number with the Raw Tag Team Championship belt in 2015-2016.
