Triple H returned to the WWF in 2002 after an 8-month long injury lay-off. He won the 2002 Royal Rumble and challenged Chris Jericho for the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania X8, where he defeated him to become the second Undisputed Champion in WWF history. He couldn’t hold the title for more than 35 days, losing it to “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan at Backlash who was helped by The Undertaker.
